The Grumpy Old Men Auto Shop is a business formed following a life long passion for motor vehicles, of all shapes and sizes, and a desire to restore a 1972 VW beetle which had immense sentimentality.

It is an inclusive company capturing all those none advertising old men in sheds and lockup’s who perform wonders on bodywork, welding, upholstery, mechanics etc and have no need to advertise because their reputations for quality work speak volumes in return custom. These are the old men who I have formed agreements and working relationships with to bring the best quality at the best rates without all the commercial add on’s, whether it is recommissioning, partial build or total restoration.

We are not Gas Monkey/Car SOS and will have it done in 2 weeks, quality takes time and effort, so if you have a short deadline I suggest an alternative builder. We will tailor make your car build to suite your budget and time frame.
